Raquel and James started JR Christian Contractors in the mid-1980s with a simple idea: treat every house like it belongs to family. Today their children run the company day to day, and the standards haven't changed.

Our story
JR Christian Contractors was started by Raquel and James in the mid-1980s. What began as the two of them taking on jobs around Bergen County grew into a full design-build company.
Today the business is run by their children. It's still a family company, with the same name and the same standards Raquel and James started with.
Over the years we added design to the building side. Having design and construction under one roof means we can take on just about any residential job, from a single bathroom to a whole house taken down to the studs. You work with one team from the first walkthrough to the final punch list.
